Lego City

Ezra has really gotten into Legos. We'd like to help him focus on one set and he has been enjoying adding to the Lego City collection. Any of the items shown above are ones he doesn't have yet. Available almost everywhere! Prices range from about $12-30.

House Book

With all of the construction in our neighborhood, Ezra is always asking about this subject. I think he would love a book about it.

Truck and Train Kit

What could be better for the boys than a truck and train they they can assemble and decorate?

Aprons

Nick and I both have aprons to use when cooking. Now that Ezra likes to help in the kitchen it would be great if he had one. I know they are pretty easy to make, but my sewing machine is older than I am! Just in case anyone feel ambitious...

Carpet Sweeper

Ezra saw this carpet sweeper and asked for it. I think it would be fun for both kids.

Window Washing Kit

Like most kids his age, Ezra loves to help around the house. We can build on the Montessori style of having set kits and work by supplying him with this child sized kit for washing windows.

Take Apart Toys

A toy like this would be fun and a great way to work on fine motor co-ordination! On Amazon.

Catalogs

Ezra will browse toy catalogs for hours! If you see any in your travels, please pick them up. They are usually free.

Caterpillar

Was this toy specially designed for Ezra? Available here.

Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway

Ezra has a nice starter set of tracks and a few engines. He would love to add some cool track add ons or a few new trains or trucks. There's also a nice case that would be great for storage. Ezra especially loves the trucks and odd trains, like the steam roller.

Car Wooden Collection

NEW NOTE: Ezra does NOT want any of the "bad" cars. Ezra has a starter set of these Wood Collection cars and he really loves them. He already has Mater's garage, Lightnin McQueen, Mater, and a few of the cars from the first movie. He would love a few more cars. I think he would also love the Rainbow Bridge. These are available at Toys R Us and probably other places too.

Tractors, tractors, and more tractors!

Ezra was in heaven the other day when there was a construction crew outside our house digging a trench for a new curb at the neighbors house. He just loves construction equipment, which he calls "tractors." The German company Plan makes wonderful wooden toys, and we be will starting a collection for Ezra this Christmas. If you would like to add to his set, he is sure to love the 9 construction vehicles offered here: Hearthsong.

Updating as we go

If you decide to get Ezra one of the items from the blog, please feel free to let me know. I can remove the item so that your gift is unique!

Daddy's Garden Helper

I doubt Ezra will be wearing a dress or pigtails when he helps daddy out in the garden, but this wheelbarrow will be fun nonetheless! Available at Magic Cabin.

Beach Toys

We will certainly be spending time at the beach over the years. This nice pail set is made of recycled plastic and comes from one of my favorite local stores, Blue Ridge Eco Shop.

Stacrobats & Magnetic Garden

How cool are these? I think Nick & I will love them as much as Ezra. They are made by a company named Kushies and can be found at babybecause.com among other places. Ezra can learn to garden with daddy! http://www.babybecause.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/3287930/vpcsid/0/SFV/32239

Melissa & Doug is a brand which makes nice and affordable wooden toys. We would love Ezra to get any (but not all) of the sets they make. These are just a few. Since cooking is such an activity in our house we want E to be able to play along as we cook! Locally, Shenanigans sells these, and Nature's Child sometimes has them too. Most toy stores carry Melissa & Doug products, and I've also seen them at the Carter's Outlets!
